Emmanuel Boat Club is heavily reliant on the generous support of members, be that by coaching, raising funds or simply supporting us from the bank.
The Club is always happy to hear from old members. If you’d like to try your hand at coaching, share memories of your time at Emmanuel, or even visit the boathouse, do not hesitate to get in touch.
Emmanuel Boat Club Association
The Emmanuel Boat Club Association, formerly known as the Henley Fund, exists to support the club through funding off-Cam racing and training camps. As well as offering coaching, alumni often donate to the association. If you’d like to do this, then please fill in the form linked below. The support that the EBCA provides is invaluable to the club, and is very much appreciated.
Donations are well-used and gratefully received: in 2012-13, for example, the Club ran the largest Christmas and Easter Training Camps in recent memory. EBCA funding enabled us to heavily subsidise the cost of food and accommodation and meant that 60 members were able to spend a week in intensive training without worrying about the financial implications. Funding also meant that our senior crews were also able to race on the Tideway, at Dorney and in Bedford across the year.
The EBCA sends a termly newsletter out to old members of the Club to let them know our results and what their donations are being used for. If you’d like to be included on these mailings or get in touch with the club for any reason, please contact the Member Relations Officer (EBCMemberRelations@gmail.com) who will be happy to hear from you!
Member Racing
Each year, Emma members enter crews in races on the Cam, including the Fairbairns, Pembroke Regatta and the Champs Head. The organisers are always looking for keen rowers, young and old – if you’re interested, the Captain will be able to put you in touch with the relevant person.
